Interact With Nature

The Watershed Nature Center supports many local citizen science initiatives from students, to amateurs, to professionally led groups – we are dedicated to providing opportunities for local residents to access, enjoy, and interact with nature through recreation, education, and restoration. Volunteers interested in taking a leadership role within our Citizen Science efforts can e-mail us at info@watershednc.org. 

Please, check our calendar regularly for programming that supports our citizen science initiative! Currently, our efforts will focus on three subjects: Frogs, Birds, and the Night Sky. Programming for Frogs will be available in Spring, Bird Programming will be offered during peak migration seasons, and Night Sky Programs will be held once each season.
